･Ragtime is the black piano music which came
in from the end of 19th century to the early of 20th century.
Black musical stuff rooted in Africa and the harmony of occidental
music had fused into this Afro-American music. The intimate and
nostalgic ragtime music is the black music hailed by the public
for the first time. In such ragtime scene Scott Joplin was called
"king of ragtime". Afterwards through revival as the
music of movie "Sting", etc., even today his works ease
and move us.
･Stefan compiled the excellent arrangements which can be enjoyed on the guitar from Scott Joplin's imortal masterpieces into this book.
